Ended up arranging a private tour ourselves to Ninh Binh, via Reddit recommendations, because the hotel only did group tours. Did a massage and they masseurs chatted with one another the whole time ?

The staff at Salute Hotel were very communicative, professional, and made me comfortable throughout my stay. It was easy to arrange a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, and I appreciated the tip and tricks of Hanoi tip sheet that was given to me at check-in. The room was spacious and clean. They give you a pair of slippers, robe, etc.. to use during your stay. It was nice that the bathroom, shower, and sink were all separate. The water got hot and the pressure was nice. Bed was super comfortable. The heating system worked well. I did not use the TV, so I can’t speak to that. The breakfast in the morning had a huge variety of really tasty dishes both sweet and savory. Lots of unique flavors, and I overheard the staff explaining how some items were made when asked! Check-out was smooth - there is an extra small fee for paying with credit card. I was allowed to leave my luggage in the hotel for a while, and I wish I had more time to enjoy the ginger tea. I didn’t use their offer of arranging tourism activities. Based on my stay, I would be comfortable asking them to help out in the future! Salute was my first impression of Vietnam, and it was super positive! As I write my review much later in my Vietnam trip, I think this is my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at. Would recommend!

Nothing really stands out - Hired driver from airport was quiet and a bit distant, but had the best driving skills of my entire trip in Vietnam. Was confused about seating at breakfast, but figured it out (it’s seat yourself and the staff will eventually come take your order) and enjoyed all the dishes! The breakfast could have had more drink options. The hallway and the city are both a bit noisy - for sensitive sleepers, tip is to bring ear plugs!

The staff at this hotel is A+. The ladies at the front desk provided a warm welcome and excellent service. They were all always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Fresh, delicious, varied buffet. The team was also happy to make to order delicious bowls of Pho, eggs, and Vietnamese coffee. We always looked forward to seeing Harry at breakfast. Harry shared experiences and recommendations that really added to our experience. We stayed in the Executive Suite with Balcony on the 4th floor. The room was spacious, very clean and we had fresh towels every day.

The balcony in our room was enclosed which was not clear in the description. So if you are looking for an open outdoor balcony, the room on the 4th floor does not have one. It was not a big deal for us but just want to set expectations. The bathroom could benefit from better lighting, but was totally functional.

The hotel was amazing! Very clean, with an excellent location right in the center of the Old Quarter. The staff were incredibly kind and helped us with everything we needed. We had a great experience and highly recommend it.

The hotel is very well located in Old District. Rooms very clean, they changed sheets and towels daily, very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with menu to order and also choosing your food. Yoghurts, fruits everything was tasty. But the people are the actual asset of the property. Tina at reception was so sweet, also the manager that changed our room when we did not like the one offered.Across the street Cong Hair did an excellent job at washing and blow drying.

Our room 712 has a weird smell but not all the time

Breakfast had a wide variety and was decent. We enjoyed trying the different ones, and I love that the fruits were always fresh. The Staff was extremely courteous and kind.

I would have loved a little more spice, but we got that in Thailand, and we enjoyed Vietnam for what it was.

The staff were absolutely amazing! Every single person working in the hotel is just incredible. The room was specious and clean and the breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect, we walked everywhere.

We stayed in two rooms. In the first room the bed was very uncomfortable, but on the second one it was great. I’d recommend the hotel to check that.

Convenient, clean and conscientious staff. Hotel provided airport transport and tour services. Soooo helpful! They even provided a nice take-out breakfast for our early departure!

Nothing to dislike.

We only stayed one night at Salute Premium Hotel & Spa, but it was a wonderful experience. Since it was during the weekdays, we were lucky to receive an upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and welcoming.What really impressed us was the thoughtful gesture: they noticed it was my mom’s birthday and surprised us with a little cake at breakfast the next morning. It made the stay feel extra special. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, whether for a short or longer stay.

The only downside was a small issue with leaking in the bathroom, but aside from that, everything was great.

The best asset of this hotel is the wonderful staff and the hotel location. Everyone is kind and helpful and it's so nice to be taken care off by them. The breakfast was another win, diverse and tasteful. The hotel is near major tourist attractions and just a short walk from old town quarter and french quarter and from Hanoi train street (a must do!). Great job for the team ?

The staff was so friendly and helpful, the rooms and hotel in general were beautiful, and we felt we were treated like royalty the entire time.

The bathroom and shower doors were opaque and faced each other while the entire bathroom area was only blocked off by a very sheer curtain. This was no convenient for me and my brother who were rooming together.
